Complete inventory:

Current data concerning the existing inventory on PCs, servers, notebooks and peripheral devices is the basis of an effective Client management. With this information, license management and specifi c software distribution
are easily done. The overview about available hardware, software and their confi guration provides simplicity and security. The automatically collected information makes helpdesk more effective. ACMP offers a complete, detailed and actual IT inventory. Besides the basic features for hardware and software any other data, like inventory number, department name or employee’s telephone number, can be used in the „Individual Fields“. This information can be entered directly by the respective workstation user, if Administrator wants. The data from “Stand alone PCs” can be entered manually and will be available immediately in the ACMP data bank.
Through the automated regular scan of the entire network, ACMP is able to sort out and determine which computers and even notebooks have no steady network binding. Report and queries accumulate information in the data base. With that, PCs and notebooks that are switched off are taken into consideration in the results. The determined inventory data can be used in the ACMP license management “SWdetective”.

Software distribution:

With ACMP you have a reliable and fully automated software distribution on workstations, servers and notebooks. The installation can be based on the company policies and because of that a minimum effort and time is needed. Helpdesk becomes more effi cient and less costly with a standard workstation environment. The fully automatic rule based Client group, called “container“, ensures that the processes can be implemented on selected Clients: For example only on, chosen departments, certain operating systems or on computers with certain hardware. The dynamic Containers group clients by predefi ned values and rearrange them automatically after changes are made. If e.g. the hard-disk of a client reaches a predefi ned power utilisation limit, it is moved automatically into a Container, which is provided with a set of commands for optimizing the memory map, e.g. packing, deleting temporary fi les etc.

User management:

The cost of user management, in a non homogenised IT system, is high and it takes a lot of time. The solution is to have a centralize user management that determinate which users are priority. The ACMP roles-based concept makes user administration easier whenever changes happen. For example admission of a new employee, department changes and even whenever an employee stops working for the company. ACMP offers a LDAP user management support which is able to create and delete user accounts or groups and even to set permissions on directories and shares.
