The basis for this is a state treaty that provides for the establishment of a central authority based in Saxony-Anhalt. The authority - expected to be called the \"Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services\" - will be responsible for monitoring accessible products and services in future. The state treaty still has to be ratified by the federal states before it can begin its work.
