Secure, stable and future-proof: client management at the highest level<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soest, June 10, 2024 - With the acmp 6.6 Suite, the experts at Soest-based software company aagon are once again demonstrating what a modern, efficient UEM solution can achieve today and how it can support the day-to-day work of IT administrators. The new features of the brand-new version include extended license management, numerous additional or optimized security features and further options for software licensing. Many of the current features have been developed in close consultation with acmp users - as has always been the case at aagon. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The highlights of acmp 6.6 undoubtedly include the <\/span>enhanced license management<\/strong> that helps companies comply with the EU initiative to strengthen cybersecurity <\/span>NIS-2<\/strong> <\/span>- supported. acmp's optimized license management simplifies the necessary documentation requirements by linking the inventory data stored in acmp Core with license management more easily and quickly. This is also valuable for the creation of license packages and enables the direct transfer of manufacturer data and other security-relevant information, even with manual recognition patterns. <\/p>\n

There are also new features in OS deployment, where security is also a top priority: there is now a solution if Windows LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution) is activated or used in your network. The <\/span>new OSD rollout process<\/strong> <\/span>provides that appropriately verified users can now also complete the rollout and that the local administrator is not required for the system to be rolled out.<\/p>\n

And also with the <\/span>Client Commands<\/strong> <\/span>has changed again: Now, certain client commands can be specifically defined across all jobs. <\/span>and automatically replace them with new ones at all locations<\/strong>. This feature is particularly helpful when replacing software with another solution. <\/p>\n

There are also significant updates to both the license mechanism and the license type: The <\/span>License mechanism<\/strong> <\/span>has been changed so that from now on only <\/span>one server license key per customer<\/strong> <\/span>is available. The advantage of the current procedure: New licenses are immediately available to the user without additional import - via a \"refresh\" after generation. <\/p>\n

Another new feature is the <\/span>license type \"Subscription\",<\/strong> which means that all acmp modules are now available as subscriptions in addition to the classic product purchase.<\/p>\n

The most important new features at a glance<\/strong><\/p>\n

acmp Console<\/strong> available as MSI<\/strong> <\/span>: With the current update, the acmp Console is available as an MSI (Microsoft Installer) and can also be installed \"silently\" via Client Command and corresponding parameters.<\/p>\n

WSUS support for acmp CAWUM<\/strong>: The new release offers the option of using an additional local WSUS for acmp CAWUM updates or operating cascading download systems. This allows Windows updates to be checked for integrity and security before distribution. <\/p>\n

In addition, the acmp Gateway <\/span>Agent distribution is simplified<\/strong> by passing the client certificate as a parameter via the command line when installing the agent. Separate distribution of the certificates is therefore no longer necessary. Finally, the <\/span>Update mechanism<\/strong> <\/span>fundamentally revised.
