aagon helps!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soest, April 26, 2016<\/strong> <\/span>Two local companies are committed to improving the living conditions of people housed in refugee accommodation in Bad Sassendorf near Soest. Gregor Steinweg, an employee of the company aagon, took the initiative: Thanks to his employer's generous donation of seven W-LAN routers and Regetech's promise to provide web access, the refugees in question will now have free Internet access. This enables them to keep in touch with their relatives and friends far away. <\/p>\n

A sign of life to let people know how they are doing or a regular exchange about what is happening is important to everyone - especially those who find themselves in exceptional situations such as war or flight. Gregor Steinweg, developer at the company <\/span>aagon in Soest<\/strong>, therefore wanted to help refugees in his city to communicate with relatives and friends worldwide. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

In his free time, the young man is involved in the <\/span>Freifunk hands-on project<\/strong>. This is a Germany-wide, non-commercial initiative that is dedicated to setting up and operating a free radio network consisting of self-managed local computer networks. \"We use the technical infrastructure of Freifunk M\u00f6hne for the accommodation in Bad Sassendorf,\" explains the young man. \"The approx. <\/span>90 refugees<\/strong> <\/span>have thus <\/span>unlimited free internet access<\/strong>, which enables them to keep in touch with their relatives back home or in other places of refuge around the world.\" Skyping is also easily possible for those affected.<\/p>\n

The two main sponsors of the project, which was launched with the refugee representative of <\/span>Bad Sassendorf<\/strong> <\/span>is coordinated, the companies are <\/span>aagon and Regetech<\/strong> <\/span>near Soest. aagon, which has been successfully involved in IT consulting for twenty years, supplies the necessary hardware in the form of seven high-quality wireless routers and takes care of installation and maintenance, while Regetech provides web access. \"We are pleased to have dedicated employees who are committed and do what is urgently needed. That's why we didn't hesitate to support Gregor Steinweg in this project with the necessary hardware and time off work,\" says Wilko Frenzel, Managing Director of aagon GmbH. <\/p>\n
