Security & convenience: acmp effectively protects IT systems<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soest, September 24, 2019:<\/strong> <\/span>Protecting corporate IT against threats and reducing risks - these are the key points of the live presentations by client management and client automation specialist aagon at this year's IT security trade fair it-sa. The acmp suite offers everything IT managers need today to strategically secure their increasingly complex IT systems: efficient and secure solutions for time-consuming routine tasks. <\/p>\n

This year, too, it-sa - which has become the <\/span>largest European IT security trade fair<\/strong> <\/span>- the most important trends and developments in the areas of cloud, mobile and endpoint security as well as data and network security. For aagon, this is the perfect setting to present the latest developments in the acmp suite. <\/p>\n

The keyword of the latest release is: <\/span>CAWUM<\/strong> <\/span>and stands for <\/span>Complete aagon Windows Update Management<\/strong>. The new tool solves a problem that is well known to most IT administrators: it <\/span>replaces WSUS<\/strong> <\/span>(Windows Update Services) and offers practical functionalities that enable up-to-date, effective update management. Unlike WSUS, CAWUM only downloads and installs exactly the updates that the clients actually need. This means that the usual WSUS updates, usually several gigabytes in size, are no longer required, less bandwidth is needed and the IT systems are subject to significantly less load. <\/span>due to unnecessary updates<\/strong> <\/span>are occupied. The resulting short installation time is an enormous gain for the efficiency of the IT department. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Further highlights of CAWUM are the <\/span>Daily scanning for the latest updates<\/strong> <\/span>using Microsoft's online database and automatically installing the necessary patches. In contrast, WSUS only installs all updates once a month, on the so-called patch day. CAWUM can also be used to define, <\/span>which patches in which languages on which file repositories<\/strong> <\/span>are to be synchronized.<\/p>\n

CAWUM was developed as a stand-alone module, can also be used without acmp Desktop Automation and, in conjunction with acmp Inventory <\/span>, enables fully automated update management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Another interesting piece of it-sa news: acmp Asset Management is now also available as an app for <\/span>Android and iOS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
