Install Windows updates conveniently and efficiently<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soest, December 4, 2019:<\/strong> <\/span>Under the illustrious name acmp CAWUM (Complete aagon Windows Update Management), the client management and automation specialists at aagon are presenting another extremely practical tool shortly before the end of the year. This brand new solution enables IT managers to install Windows updates in a controlled, targeted and effective manner for the first time. <\/p>\n

CAWUM solves a problem that is well known to most IT administrators: the dependency on WSUS (Windows Update Services). The new aagon solution <\/span>replaces WSUS completely<\/strong>, frees you from the restrictions of WSUS processes and offers practical functionalities that enable prompt, effective update management. Unlike WSUS, CAWUM only downloads and installs exactly the updates that the individual clients actually need. This means that the usual WSUS updates, usually several gigabytes in size, are no longer necessary, less bandwidth is required and the IT systems are subject to significantly less load. <\/span>due to unnecessary updates<\/strong> <\/span>are occupied. The resulting reduction in installation time is an enormous gain for the efficiency of the IT department. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Further highlights of CAWUM are the <\/span>Daily scanning for the latest updates<\/strong> <\/span>using Microsoft's online database and the automated installation of the necessary patches. In contrast, WSUS only installs all updates once a month, on the so-called <\/span>patch day<\/strong>, which is not always expected with undivided joy by IT admins. CAWUM can also be used to define, <\/span>which patches in which languages on which file repositories<\/strong> <\/span>are to be synchronized.<\/p>\n

Also very helpful in everyday IT work: CAWUM allows the definition of individual release rings and thus enables Windows updates to be distributed to individual test systems in different sub-networks. In this way <\/span>risk-free test<\/strong> whether everything runs smoothly after installing the updates.<\/p>\n

CAWUM was developed as a stand-alone module, can also be used without acmp Desktop Automation and, in conjunction with acmp Inventory <\/span>, enables fully automated update management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
