Unternehmen - Über Aagon

Our history

Aagon was founded in 1992 by the managing partners Sascha Häckel and Wilko Frenzel as "Aagon Network & Communication Services" in Soest/Westphalia and changed its legal form to "GmbH" in 1996.

More than 2,800 customers from all sectors and company sizes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have benefited from the company's experience and innovative product developments for almost 30 years.

Our product development

Back in 1998, we developed ACK 1.0, the first menu-driven, automatic operating system installation in Europe. Since then, we have been developing and distributing client management software for the automated management of Microsoft, Linux and macOS-based PCs in company networks, which goes far beyond traditional software distribution solutions.

ACK has long since been replaced by the more powerful OSD and the ACMP client management platform has been expanded with numerous modules that make day-to-day work easier for administrators and increase the reliability of workstation computers.

Commitment to sport

The company name Aagon is derived from the Greek ἀγών - agon, which stands for fair competition. It is therefore only natural that Aagon supports the exceptional talent Shara Hubrich. The young karateka from TV Borgeln e. V. has already won several German championships in her performance class, was world and European champion and is a member of the Olympic squad for the 2020 Games in Tokyo.

Commitment to our fellow human beings

ARCHEMED - Doctors for Children in Need provides medical and humanitarian aid for sick children and mothers giving birth in Eritrea, one of the poorest countries in the world. Instead of spending a large sum each year on postage for Christmas cards, we have been sending electronic holiday greetings for several years now. The postage saved is channelled into ArcheMED's humanitarian work to secure medical care in crisis regions.

Commitment to the environment

Even at WWF, nothing works without a well-functioning IT system. To optimise this, WWF Germany has opted for ACMP. A welcome opportunity to actively support the WWF's important mission with extensive product sponsorship. Wilko Frenzel, nature lover and one of two managing partners of Aagon, is particularly pleased about this.

Commitment to health

We support Klasse2000, the most widespread teaching programme in Germany for health promotion, addiction and violence prevention in primary schools, to give children a healthy start to the day.
