Important Information:

When updating to ACMP 6.0.0 two big conversions take place. These pertain the Client Commands and the Support URLs of the Windows Updates in the ACMP CAWUM spreadsheets are supplemented. This leads to a significant longer ACMP Update time than usual (depending on the size of your File repositories it can take several hours).
Please keep this in mind for your update plans.

To be able to see the new Plug-In for Managed Software, you might have to make changes to the rights of users outside of the Full Access Group.

 

New Solution: ACMP Managed Software

The new Solution ACMP Managed Software is the successor of the ACMP Package Cloud. With Managed Software you have now the ability to automatically distribute and keep up to date a large number of Third-Party Software. You can get details about the new solution here: ACMP Managed Software.

General Updates:

New Function: ACMP Quicklaunch. This function is available immediately through ought ACMP with the Shortcut “Strg+Q”. This allows for a quick search of many ACMP Areas and Data and for an immediate execution of the most important function of the found elements.

The new ACMP Kiosk replaces the ACMP Command Launcher. The ACMP Kiosk is not immediately visible after updating to ACMP 6.0. Until its Activation you will only see the usual ACMP Command Launcher. This allows you to set up the Kiosk in no rush before activating it. In addition to the features of the Command Launcher the Kiosk now makes available packages directly from the Managed Software Solution as well as the Job Collections. Open SSL has been updated to the 1.1.1h Version. With this the security of password saved within ACMP has increased.

For a better overview we grouped the scheduled Sever tasks within the settings of ACMP.

The ACMP Agent uninstall has been improved so that now no Fragments are left.

At the AD Login within the ACMP Console and within the LDAP Commands is it now possible to establish the connection with AD through LDAPS.

Inventory:

Windows Server Features are now being read out and made available in Display Fields.

If there are unknown Clients within the Windows Client manager, these will now be displayed in the Client Details.

A new Display Field to display Windows Defender Version has been established.

Instances of the SQL Server 2019 can now be read out.

The Hardware Scanner has been updated so that the newest Hardware can be identified without fail.

File Repositories:

Using Hash, the File-Repo Data of Client Commands is now being checked for its integrity by default, so that only valid files are being executed by the ACMP agent.

The process speed of File Repositories has been improved

File Repositories with the Content type “Windows Update Management” now also display which Sync profiles are connected with the File Repository

CAWUM:

It is now available to make ready updates manually which are because of the selected criteria or the deployment of Beta-Updates not automatically existing.

There are four new Widgets within CAWUM:

  • Hard-Drive usage: Displays the size of the update archive and the expected size of the File Repository
  • Updates by Distribution ring: Displays how many updates are in which Distribution ring.
  • Update-Status: Displays the amount of Updates by a specific Status
  • Client-Status: Displays the amount of Clients by specific status

As of now driver updates are also available with CAWUM

Within the Job and Client monitor more details are displayed pertaining to the reboot options within the Log

Any denied update also displays now which Clients still need the Update and which have already installed it

Several Performance Enhancements and the Cleanup Job have been extended so that it now deletes any Update that has been retracted by Microsoft.

Reports:

New major Version of the Report Engine. Now also supporting High DPI and includes many Bug fixes and Detail improvements.

All Reports have been improved and are available in the new ACMP Version.

OS Deployment:

Custom Roll-out: At the selection of a Roll-out Template for a Client or Server is it now possible to create a customized dynamic Roll-out Template. These individual Template is than used for the Roll-out.

Client Command Center:

New Condition: Is Software (not) installed. This condition allows for the checkup of a Software on Basis of “Set Software installed”.

Configurable Tim-out within the Command: “HTTP-Call”.

Licensemanagement:

Accesses on Terminal servers by User and / or Clients are now being inventoried and can be used within the Licensemanagement solution.

To analyze these Terminal server accesses new queries and a new report are made available.

Master Data such as User and location etc. can now be saved directly in the License.

Through the CSV Import it is now possible to fill custom fields.

Vulnerability Management:

Performance enhancement within the Vulnerability Management solution.

Helpdesk:

The opening of tickets has been quickened.
