ACMP Managed Software - AESB – Components that need to be updated

In general:

With ACMP 6.0.3, new startup conditions make their way into ACMP:

  • At shutdown - but only in a certain time window:
Here you can define that a job is executed at shutdown, but only if the shutdown happens e.g. between 16:00 and 17:00.
  • Start interval in a certain time window:
A job can be executed regularly, e.g. every two hours, but this should not happen between 08:00 and 15:00.
  • Extended starting conditions – day of the week:
This start condition is used to map the classic patchday, e.g. every third Tuesday of the month. In addition, this condition can be linked with other start conditions such as the time.
  • Date interval:
This start condition allows to run a job monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Here you can additionally choose between the first or last day of the respective period. The old start condition "Last day of the month" will be dropped in the future and can be mapped via the start condition "Date interval".
  • Random timing within a period of time:
It is now possible to have job executions start randomly within a certain time window. This can reduce the network load for the ACMP scanners or large jobs
  • Wake on lan in waves:
For jobs with "Wake On Lan", it is now possible to wake up only a certain percentage of computers per interval.

Managed Software:
Improvements in synchronizing managed software package versions to the distributed file repositories.

Windows Update Management:
A bug has been fixed that caused the default browser to open when manually importing updates and thus the selected updates were not transferred to ACMP.
Various small bug fixes and performance improvements.

Vulnerability management:
Various performance improvements.

ACMP Server:
Performance optimisations especially for large environments and improvements for many simultaneous client connections.

Important hint:
Due to a bug fix in Managed Software, the update to ACMP 6.0.3 will reset the parameter settings for all Citrix packages to default. If you are using at least one of the Citrix packages, please ensure after the update that you set any existing parameter adjustments in the Citrix packages again.

Components to update:
You do not need to update any additional ACMP components after updating to ACMP 6.0.3.

Changelog:
As always, you can find out what has been corrected and improved in detail in the changelog.
