Release Notes 6.5.0
We are pleased to introduce the new ACMP-Intune Connector. With this, mobile devices can now be integrated into the familiar ACMP interface with some control actions. Below are the most important changes in ACMP 6.5.0.

ACMP Intune Adapter

With the new Intune Adapter, ACMP can act bidirectionally with Intune via the AESB and already offers the following functions in the first version:

  • Import from Android and iOS devices with some client details
  • Deleting from Intune management and resetting the devices to factory settings (wipe)
  • Retire configuration profile and settings (Retire)
  • Force synchronization to retrieve and apply settings and policies
  • Locking the devices remotely (Remote Lock)
  • Sending notifications to the mobile devices
  • Rights for Intune actions for your ACMP users

ACMP Client Commands

Client commands can now be provided with parameters. With this feature, it is now possible, for example, to package software with the Package Wizard and to provide and make it available in a container or the ACMP Kiosk with the Install or Uninstall parameters as desired. Many other use cases can be mapped and realized with this feature.

New command in the Client Command Editor: "Enqueue ACMP Job" - With this command it is possible to execute additional Client Commands, Managed Software Packages and Job Collections within a Client Command. This allows you to start additional client commands depending on the process of the client command.

Further granular selection options for string comparisons with the "IF" and "WHILE" functions. Here, the so-called "Natural sort order" can now optionally be used for comparisons.

Also fixed an occasional scaling issue in the Client Command Editor where scrollbars were not displayed.

ACMP File Repositories

We now support WebDAV for connecting online storages as a file repository. In addition, the SFTP protocol can now be used.

ACMP Client Status

One of the most frequently expressed customer requests was implemented: The visualization of the client status. By default, a period of 40 minutes is used to determine whether a client has reported to the ACMP server with a request (scanner, job execution) during this time window. If such a message was not necessary by the client during this period, it actively reports to the server as reachable. The time can of course be adjusted, among other things against the background of the size of the client landscape. If the client is reachable, it is displayed in queries with a green circle, otherwise with a gray triangle.

ACMP Helpdesk

With the new helpdesk permissions, two new options have been added to allow or not allow a user to use the "Go to ticket no." field.

Connected to this is the authorization and restriction of the "Search in all tickets", this can now also be activated or deactivated for a user. When deactivated, the user still has the option to search in the query results released for him.

Both permissions are enabled by default if a user has at least one permission in the helpdesk.

Both the printing of tickets and the printing of knowledge base articles have been revised with this update and outsourced to ACMP's report engine. This means that the printouts can be customized in layout and also sent by e-mail. Predefined reports can be used or custom reports can be created. The function also supports embedded images in the tickets and thus offers a variety of possibilities and options.

ACMP Asset Management

It is now possible to set which user is allowed to change and create the number profiles in ACMP Asset Management.

Furthermore, the display fields have been extended in order to be able to optimally display the asset history. With this function, e.g. monthly destruction overviews can be created and sent regularly via the known functions in the reports.

A bugfix in ACMP Asset Management here still refers to the Client Details, which now display and make usable asset links also on Linux & macOS devices.

ACMP OS Deployment

Number profiles can now be used for a unique client name when automatically generating client names

UEFI diskpart scripts are now used by default. This can be toggled in the partitioning section of the response file.

Another optimization improves the performance especially in connection with a UEFI PXE boot. Among other things, the default values of the block sizes were adjusted, which enables a significantly faster transfer of the WINPE.

ACMP License Management

It is now possible to display the respective license ID in the product in the license overview. This is especially advantageous if, for example, the location of the deposited license is entered in the license ID.

If a product appears in the Compliance view that you do not want or need to manage, you can now delete the product directly via the context menu in the Compliance view.

User CALS management has been optimized so that multiple manual consumers can now be deleted simultaneously. In addition, the Software Scanner has been enhanced to detect installed Microsoft SQL Server 2022 instances and include them in license management.

ACMP Defender Management

To better distinguish the Microsoft Defender Scheduled System Scan feature from our in-house Scheduled Scans, the Scheduled Scans are now called Scan Collections.

ACMP BitLocker Management

This update adds the ability to store the Microsoft BitLocker recovery password in Active Directory. This applies to both the classic Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD. A direct link to the online help with important information on this topic can be found in the profile dialog.

ACMP CAWUM

In ACMP CAWUM, Update Collections can now be easily copied or duplicated to avoid manually transferring all other settings for granular changes.

ACMP General

As of ACMP 6.5.0, the basic elements of ACMP in the manual are also available in English. The English-language help is of course continuously extended and completed.

For vSphere servers, a global user can now be defined individually for the scan.

The mail service can be switched to the "OAuth Token" option. Furthermore, the mail service can now only send mails and not receive them, if this is desired.

The agent tasks "Restart agent regularly" and the "Agent update & installation time window" have been removed.

ACMP Console

ACMP Quick Launch (Ctrl+Q) can now search tags and descriptions of documents in ACMP.

In ACMP Kiosk, the descriptions are now also searched. This significantly increases the accuracy of hits for the user.

Queries have been optimized in this version so that ACMP now always determines and displays the optimal column width based on the contents of each field.

Queries can now be copied as SQL commands via the context menu, among other things, and subsequently used in other places.

In addition to the improved display, many grid views can now be exported as CSV files directly via the context menu.

ACMP Gateway

If the ACMP Gateway and the ACMP Server were running on the same system, performance degradation and timeouts could occur. These issues are now resolved.

ACMP Jobs

ACMP jobs e.g. from ACMP Managed Software or ACMP CAWUM now check first if updates are available before showing a delay dialog to the user. This avoids unnecessary disruptions.

The start condition can now be viewed in the job details in the job monitor.

For better load distribution in large environments, a further optimization has been made in the start conditions of jobs. For the start condition "Specific date" there is now an additional combination with the "Time window". Here, among other things, the time interval as well as the start behavior ("Start as soon as possible at the beginning of the time window" or "At a random time within the time window") can be set.

To improve performance, the job collections view has been revised. The actual jobs are now displayed in a separate area after selecting a folder or collection.

ACMP Reports

You can now copy scheduled reports including email text and recipient group. This way you can make small changes without much effort.

ACMP Container

For a simple and quick overview it is now possible to mark a client in a container and to start a search via the context menu in which containers this client occurs.

Containers can be provided with additional information in the new description field.

To facilitate the selection of managed software packages, an "In-Filter" can now be created.

ACMP Inventroy & Client Details

Optional features of a client as well as Windows Server features are now displayed in their own, new areas in the client details.

The new search bar allows you to conveniently search and filter the tree in the client details.

ACMP Compatibility & Security

With this update, all ACMP internal Powershell scripts are signed and no longer conflict with the GPO that prevents non-signed Powershell scripts from running.

ACMP is now compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2022. On top of that, some backward compatibility changes have been made to products that are barely or no longer supported by Microsoft. Read more in our system requirements: www.aagon.com/produkte/ueberblick/systemanforderungen-acmp/

With ACMP 6.5.0, the OpenSSL version used is updated to 1.1.1u.

The ACMP hardware scanner has been updated to support and detect even the latest hardware.

The concept of ACMP build numbers has been revised: With ACMP 6.5.0, we restarted at build number 1 and this will be incremented sequentially within the 6.5.x releases. With version 6.6.0 the build number will start again at 1.

AESB 1.8

With ACMP version 6.5.0, the new version of AESB 1.8.0 is also released, which is mandatory if you want to use the ACMP Intune Connector.

Some other features in this update are the display of the connection status of the workflow instances; these must all be updated once after a successful update for the status display to work correctly.

Components to be updated:

The AESB must be updated separately after the update of ACMP.

The Helpdesk web interface must be updated if you have these components in use.
