One of the highlights of acmp 6.6 is undoubtedly the enhanced license management that helps companies comply with the EU initiative to strengthen cybersecurity NIS-2 – supported. acmp’s optimized license management simplifies the associated documentation requirements by linking the inventory data stored in acmp Core to license management more easily and quickly. This is also valuable for creating license packages and enables the direct import of manufacturer data and other security-related information, even when using manual detection patterns.
There are also new features in OS deployment, where security is also a top priority: there is now a solution if Windows LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution) is activated or used in your network. The new OSD rollout process provides that appropriately verified users can now also complete the rollout and that the local administrator is not required for the system to be rolled out.
And also with the Client Commands has changed again: Now, certain client commands can be specifically defined across all jobs. and automatically replace them with new ones at all locations. This feature is particularly helpful when replacing software with another solution.
There are also significant updates to both the license mechanism and the license type: The License mechanism has been changed so that from now on only one server license key per customer is available. The advantage of the current procedure: New licenses are immediately available to the user without additional import - via a "refresh" after generation.
Another new feature is the“Subscription” license type for the ; this means that, in addition to the traditional product purchase, all acmp modules are now available as subscriptions upon request.
The most important new features at a glance
acmp Console Now Available as an MSI : With the latest update, the acmp Console is available as an MSI (Microsoft Installer) and can also be installed "silently" using the Client Command and the appropriate parameters.
WSUS Support for acmp CAWUM: The new release offers the option to use an additional local WSUS for acmp CAWUM updates or to operate cascading download systems. This allows Windows updates to be checked for integrity and security even before they are distributed.
In addition, the acmp Gateway's Agent distribution is simplified by passing the client certificate as a parameter via the command line when installing the agent. Separate distribution of the certificates is therefore no longer necessary. Finally, the Update mechanism fundamentally revised. This includes a more stable agent update with less network load. Further information on the current version, which is available immediately, can be found in the Feature Tour.
