IT System Administrator (m/f/d) in Soest
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an IT Systems Administrator (m/f/d).
Here's what you can expect from us
- You will support our employees in first- and second-level support, analyze issues, and ensure sustainable solutions.
- You are responsible for maintaining and ensuring the stable operation of our IT workstations (Windows clients, laptops, and mobile devices).
- You will set up IT workstations for new employees, configure them, and assist with the technical onboarding process.
- You manage user accounts and devices in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- You will help further develop our Microsoft 365 environment.
- You will install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, and support our end devices throughout their entire lifecycle.
- You will manage our phone system, including hardware and software phones, as well as phone numbers and extensions.
- You will participate in IT rollouts, system changes, and standardization projects.
- You will create and maintain user, operational, and IT documentation.
- You'll contribute ideas for optimizing and automating our IT support processes.
- You will manage our network infrastructure (switches, routers, Sophos firewall, VLAN, DHCP, DNS) and oversee Wi-Fi and VPN connections.
What you bring with you
- You have completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist in system integration or hold a comparable IT qualification.
- You have anywhere from a few months to several years of professional experience in IT support or in the administration of client systems.
- You have a very good understanding of Windows clients and standard desktop hardware.
- You have a strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
- You already have experience in first- and second-level support and enjoy working directly with users.
- You work in a structured, reliable, and solution-oriented manner.
- You're interested in process optimization, automation, and well-organized IT documentation.
- You have a very good command of German and, ideally, a good command of English.
- You are a team player, service-oriented, and have a compelling, communicative style.
- You have practical experience in network administration, are familiar with switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPNs, and understand network concepts such as VLAN, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
- Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Intune, phone systems, or automation is a plus, but not required.
