Important note:

The update to acmp 6.0.0 involves two major conversions. These concern the client commands and the support URLs of the Windows updates in the acmp CAWUM tables. As a result, the acmp update may take significantly longer than usual (up to several hours, depending on the size of your file repository).
Please take this into account when planning your update.

To be able to see the new plugin for Managed Software, you may need to make adjustments to the rights for users outside the Full Access group.

New Solution: acmp Managed Software

The new acmp Managed Software solution is the successor to the acmp Package Cloud. With Managed Software, a large number of third-party software can now be automatically distributed and kept up to date. https://www.aagon.com/release-notes-acmp-und-aesb-bis-zur-einstellung/

General:

New function: acmp Quicklaunch. This function is now available throughout acmp via the shortcut "Ctrl + Q". This allows many acmp data and areas to be searched quickly and the most important functions for found elements to be executed directly.

The new acmp Kiosk replaces the acmp Command Launcher. When updating to acmp 6.0, the new kiosk is not yet visible to your users. They will still see the existing acmp Command Launcher until it is activated. You can therefore take your time to set up the new kiosk before activating it. In addition to the existing functions of the Command Launcher, the Kiosk now also provides packages from the Managed Software Solution and the Job Collections. You can see a short video introduction here: acmp Kiosk introduction video

Open SSL has been updated to version 1.1.1h. The security of passwords stored in acmp has also been increased as a result.

For a better overview, the planned server tasks have been grouped in the acmp settings.

The acmp Agent uninstallation has been improved so that no fragments remain.

The connection to the AD can now also be established via LDAPS when logging on to the acmp Console and in the LDAP commands.

The hardware scanner has been updated to ensure that the latest hardware is identified correctly.

The Sync Service has been improved.

CAWUM:

It is now possible to manually provide updates that are not available in the automatic download due to the selection made or because beta updates are to be obtained.

There are four new widgets in CAWUM:

  • Disk usage: Shows the size of the update archive and the expected size of the file repository.
  • Updates by distribution ring: Shows how many updates are in which distribution ring.
  • Update status: Shows the number of updates with a specific status.
  • Client status: Shows the number of clients with specific statuses.

Driver updates with CAWUM are now also possible.

The Job and Client Monitor now show more details regarding the reboot options in the log.

The denied updates now also show which clients would require the update and which have already installed the update.

Various performance improvements and the cleanup job has been extended so that it now also deletes updates withdrawn by Microsoft.

New major version of the report engine. This now also supports High DPI and contains many bug fixes and detail improvements.

All reports have been revised and are available in new versions.

Configurable timeout in the command: "HTTP call".
