WIMPatcher
IT administrators know the problem: when a new operating system is to be deployed, it is not the actual installation but the patching of the freshly installed operating systems that takes up most of the time. To optimize this time-consuming and resource-consuming work process, we have developed the aagon WIMPatcher. With WIMPatcher, we offer you a free tool that supports you in patching the operating systems in your company network.
Patching procedure
The entire process is divided into four sub-areas, which you can operate via one interface:
- Importing an image file (install.wim) that you select
- Checking the Windows editions included (Windows Pro, Enterprise, Ultimate, Home etc.) and selection by the user
- Selection of patches previously made available offline
- Integration of the selected patches into the image file
The updated image file forms the basis for the network-wide operating system installation with acmp OS Deployment or another rollout system. After installing the operating system, you only need to install the additional patches since the image was created and benefit from considerable time savings.
