aagon on course for continuous growth

Soest, January 25, 2021 - There is also good news: despite the coronavirus crisis and the second lockdown, aagon GmbH is in the fortunate position of not only being able to do without cost-cutting measures such as short-time working, but also to continue to increase its workforce. Colleagues at the central location in Soest were able to welcome numerous new recruits right at the start of the year. Human Resources Manager Damian Wolny, who has also just come on board, is ensuring that the induction periods run smoothly under pandemic conditions.

The new year begins with numerous new additions to the Soest-based software manufacturer aagon: Not least the newly created position of Head of Human Resources (HR), which has been held by Damian Wolny (33) since the first of January, is an investment in the future. After all, the client management specialist needs qualified personnel to achieve its ambitious growth targets; and this is something that needs to be recruited in the highly competitive IT market and then retained in the long term.

"I am delighted that one of my first tasks as Head of HR is to recruit and support new employees," says Wollny. "Especially in these times, that is unfortunately the exception rather than the rule." Wolny comes from Hoffmeier Industrieanlagen in Hamm, where he worked as HR Manager; before that, he was at Spedition Winner in Iserlohn. During his career, the economist (B.A.), who specializes in business law, psychology and human resources and is also an HR specialist and specialist consultant for employment law, has held various positions as a consultant in HR or Legal at different companies in North Rhine-Westphalia. In his current role, Wolny reports directly to the management. With the numerous new hires at the beginning of the year, the HR expert has a lot to do right from the start.

Start of the year with new additions and optimism

Practically every division of the 100-strong aagon team is being strengthened by a new colleague: highly motivated "newcomers" are starting in product management as well as in sales, technology, consulting and marketing. aagon is currently even offering highly sought-after internships.

To ensure that the initial motivation lasts as long as possible, people need job security and reasonable framework conditions as well as areas of responsibility and, last but not least, shared fun. Wolny comments: "I was immediately impressed by the corporate culture at aagon. The people here are a real team, full of enthusiasm for the products - all made in Germany - and for serving the customer. In my new role, I'm looking forward to helping them move forward through straightforward HR processes and a variety of supportive personnel measures. I see myself as an internal consultant and advisor for operational, HR and labor law measures."

More than 2,800 customers from all sectors and company sizes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have benefited for over 25 years from the innovative product developments and services of the software manufacturer with over 100 employees at the company headquarters in Soest, Westphalia, and in the sales offices throughout Germany.
